Many journals are now asking authors to include a "graphical" or "visual abstract" along with their articles. This is a brief, visually engaging image or diagram that summarizes the article’s key findings. It can be the final figure from the article or, ideally, a custom-designed figure created to visually capture the article’s content in a single glance. See examples below.
